On the weekend of June 25-27, the Fort Loudon Historical Society had their annual 18th Century market fair. Fort Indiantown Gap 2016
This year, The Battle of the Bulge Reenactment was held from January 27-31. MTA 2014
For a change of pace for me this year, Linda and I attended MTA at the Jamestown Settlement as mere tourists, rather than participants. Because of this, we were able to actually take our time and look at every exhibit in depth and at our leisure. Certainly a different feeling than the usual ‘stealing a…

Gun Control III – Mayday, Mayday, Mayday from Connecticut
We got this in today via another of the Reenactor Yahoo! groups: A call to arms for all re-enactors. We are all being affected by the tragic event at Sands Hook. Reenacting and Gun Control
As many of you know, it is the policy of this blog to avoid political discussions. Frankly, many of us, including myself, are sick to death of politics. Gun Laws and Reenacting
If you have read this blog for a while, you are aware that we steer clear of modern politics. In fact, that is our policy. Movie Reviews – Something Different
On those occasions that I review movies here, they are generally new releases. This is a little different. A few months ago, while hanging around Walmart to get my oil changed, I saw a DVD collection of war movies in the $5.00 bin. The title was “War Movies (WWII Collection)” Since it had 20 old…

Mission to Moscow II
The next stop on my trip to Moscow was the Central Armed Forces Museum, which is also known as the museum of the Soviet Army.
